This wiki was created to document 'The Deca', a fanfiction by Barnable on ArchiveOfOurOwn. The Deca fandom, also called the 'doctor who academy era fandom', is comprised of fans of a very niche area of the longrunning british television series and franchise, Doctor Who, specifically of the main character (the Doctor) and their nine closest friends at the academy (The Deca). Barnable's fic is just one of the many incredible fanworks that are part of this fandom, but this particular fic has become such a basis for our fanon that we feel it is worth creating a wiki on!

The Deca as a concept were originally created by Gary Russell in 'Divided Loyalties', the 1996 Doctor Who novel. Some of the characters were introduced earlier. Barnable has created several of their own characters, concepts, etc, and has designed a 5 series (so far!) story surrounding the deca's time in the Time Lord academy.
